Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair (EVAR / TEVAR)
Endovascular Aortic Aneurysm Repair (EVAR for abdominal, TEVAR for thoracic) is a minimally invasive procedure where a stent-graft is delivered via catheter (often through the femoral artery) into the location of the aneurysm inside the aorta. The stent-graft reinforces the weakened section of the aorta and diverts blood flow through the graft, reducing pressure on the aneurysm wall and preventing rupture. This procedure avoids open-chest or open-abdominal surgery and leads to faster recovery and lower perioperative risk in appropriate patients.
